The segmented drive method has several advantages, including minimal low-speed vibration and high precision level. In the application of stepper motors
that sometimes require low-speed operation (i.e. the motor drive shaft sometimes operates below 60rpm) or precision levels below 0.90 degrees,
segmented air valve drivers are widely used. The basic concept is to perform high-precision current manipulation on the two electromagnetic coils of the motor in sine and cosine shaped steps, thereby dividing the spacing of a transverse
angle into several subdivision steps. For example, the sixteen subdivision driver method can achieve a precision of 3200 steps per revolution (i.e. 0.1125 °) for a stepper motor with 200 standard steps per revolution.
Overall, in the case of full step operation, for every pulse input, the angular velocity of the motor shaft is one step angle. In the case of thunderstorm operation,
for every pulse input, the angular velocity of the motor shaft is one and a half step angle. It is best not to use stepper motors in full step situations, as there is significant vibration during full step situations.
