sum of proportional, integral, and differential terms. The PID controller is a very classic controller that is simple and easy to understand, and can be
used without the need for an accurate system model. It has a wide range of applications.

Let”s first explain why closed-loop control is necessary, taking controlling the speed of a motor as an example. Before actual control, we may assume that as long as I give the motor an
expected speed of 100 revolutions per minute, it will obediently output the result of 100 revolutions per minute. But what about the actual situation? When the
motor is unloaded, it may still be able to reach the desired speed, but what if a 10 pound load is added to the motor? Its speed may drop to 80 revolutions per
minute, and if the load continues to increase, the speed may continue to decrease.
