5466-041 Woodward Ship Spare Parts
The 5466-041 is a microprocessor-based digital governor controller produced by Woodward, belonging to its classic 505 series.
It is primarily designed for speed control and protection of steam turbines. Below is a detailed introduction to this product:
I. Product Overview
- Brand and Model: Woodward 5466-041
- Series: 505 Series Digital Governor
- Type: Microprocessor-based controller
- Purpose: Specifically designed for steam turbines to control their speed and provide overspeed protection.

II. Core Functions
- Speed Control:
- 5466-041 Precisely controls the speed of steam turbines by adjusting steam inlet flow.
- Supports single-range or split-range actuators to accommodate turbines of different sizes.
- Overspeed Protection:
- Incorporates triple independent overspeed protection logic to ensure rapid shutdown in case of overspeed, preventing equipment damage.
- Provides an overspeed test button for convenient on-site testing of protection functions.
- Emergency Shutdown:
- Equipped with an emergency stop button for immediate shutdown in emergency situations.
- System Protection:
-
- Automatically switches control modes upon sensor failure to ensure uninterrupted system operation.
- Offers local/remote control priority selection to adapt to different operational scenarios.

1. Function
1) The fire linkage controller can receive fire alarm signals from the fire alarm controller and emit fire alarm sound and light signals. In a non delayed state,
it can send a start signal to various controlled devices connected to it within 3 seconds, directly or indirectly control the controlled device according to the set control logic,
and at the same time send a start light indication signal. The fire linkage controller can receive feedback signals from controlled equipment actions and display the corresponding equipment status.
2) The fire linkage controller can receive alarm signals from related triggering devices such as the pump start button, water flow indicator, and gas fire extinguishing system start button,
display their location, emit alarm sound and light signals, and send the alarm signals to the connected fire alarm controller.
3) The fire linkage controller can complete all control functions and indicate status manually or automatically. In automatic mode, manual insertion operation takes priority.
4) The fire linkage controller has a direct manual control unit. The direct manual control unit shall have at least six independent manual control switches, each corresponding to a
direct control output. When the direct manual control unit can be used independently, various working states such as startup and feedback of the controlled equipment can be
displayed separately next to the manual control switch. When the direct manual control unit cannot be used independently, the other working states of the controlled equipment,
except for the startup state, are indicated separately next to the manual control switch or displayed on the shared display of the linkage controller.
5) The fire linkage controller can initiate logical relationships through manual or programmed input, and has corresponding input “OR” logic and/or “AND” logic programming functions for control outputs.
